Mark, I think you're chasing a ghost.. I believe SCS reports implement HILIGHT and UNDERLINE as an embedded overstrike (you know, print line with no paper advance, then print the underline/hilight bits). Regardless, Printer files do not use attribute bytes to start/end special features. Perhaps, since it SCS, you could CPYSPLF CTLCHAR(*PRTCTL) and insert a line (before, with 0 for space/skip) with the overstrike data and then removing the attribute token from the report body. This conversion would have to run after the splf is generated and before it goes to print.
