Justin, I'm not sure I understand your issue. Are you saying you want it to have implicit access (in this procedure) to defined storage in your main procedure? Is this nomain procedure intended to be used in many programs, or is it specific to this one program? If it is intended to be a general purpose procedure, I think it's a bad idea to try to modify global data, unless it's formally passed as part of the PI. IMPORTing variables EXPORTed in the main procedure is one way of getting to the storage, though it still involves defining the variable twice. If, however, this proc is specific to this program, you should be able to simply fold the procedure into your main program, which by default gives your procedure global access to your main procedure's defined storage.
