the problem is that the boxes are the property of the respective national
companies, located in their own HQ, and also run local applications that we
have no responsibility for.

Therefore, moving is not a viable option.

Subject:  RE: Installing previous release compilers on V5R1?




Is supporting the older hardware remotely an option rather than doing
maintenance on the newer box?  I assume that the V3R2 CISC boxes are pretty
stable?  If this is not the case, what about moving any one of the older
boxes into development. You could have a V5R1 box to move forward with and
an older box for maintenance of the CISC stuff.
