Do you mean that we plan on the hardware and or software being obsolete in
under 6 years?  Well yes we do.  After all, a bulk of our PC's are obsolete
in under 6 years.  Why wouldn't our bigger iron?
Let's say you've got a $1,000,000 AS/400 running 800 users.  That's
$1,250/user.  But now let's say you are leasing.  And you'll find that your
cost per user may decrease when you upgrade.  After all, $1,250 buys a lot
more computer than it did 6 years ago.  Or even if your costs don't
decrease, you get a lot more power for little to no money more.
