Don't want to touch the current application. Changing an existing program, testing and installing in production will take longer time. This is the reason want to write a new process to handle the triggers. -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-admin@midrange.com [mailto:rpg400-l-admin@midrange.com]On Behalf Of Jim Langston Sent: Thursday, September 13, 2001 10:40 AM To: rpg400-l@midrange.com Subject: RE: What's the limit on the parameter to pass for a sbmjob Well, why don't you just dump the buffer to a file in your trigger program? What is preventing you from doing this? Can I write a SQL stored procedure to insert the Trigger buffer into a File. All I want is to take the trigger buffer and just dump it to a file. I don't want any other processing to occurs. The file I am trying to place triggers on is used very extensively in the app. Batch updates, real-time updates etc. Thanks GG _______________________________________________ This is the RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries (RPG400-L) mailing list To post a message email: RPG400-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/rpg400-l or email: RPG400-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/rpg400-l.
