Debbie, what you've heard is probably about the JAVA command, which is an
easy way for programs to call Java, but you can only pass parameters _to_
Java, you can't get them back (you have to use data queues or data areas
to get them back).

Using both the methods I described (the new RPG support that uses Java
Native Interface (JNI), and the Toolbox), parameter passing works both
ways.
