I've heard about RPG programs being able to access Java >classes, in V5R1, and I know the Java can access programs. David, the new V5R1 RPG support goes both ways (from RPG to Java and from Java to RPG). The Java side defines the RPG procedures as native methods (and that means the procedures can only be called from Java, or from RPG programs calling them as though they were Java methods). Java can also call ordinary service program procedures using the toolbox. From the Info Center, search for ServiceProgramCall. (That's available in V4R5, maybe earlier.)
