One of the options is to run 'process' on NT server to move file to a different directory once transfer is done. Your As400 should constantly monitor for it. Another option is to 'LIST' files on NT server from As400 and then wait for N seconds and get file. 'N' depands on your connection speed and possible file size. You need to make sure that after N seconds file transfer will be completed. just my 5 cents.... Please respond to RPG400-L@midrange.com Sent by: owner-rpg400-l@midrange.com To: Rpg400-L@midrange.com cc: Subject: FTP Question Is there a way to tell the AS400 a file as been received on a separate server and is ready for processing? I have a customer who will be sending me data via FTP to an NT Server. Once the file is on the server I would like it to send something to the AS400 to tell it data has arrived so the AS400 can retreive the data and begin running the jobs.
