Yea, we do this all the time.  Are technique includes a VB application
(written in-house) that FTPs the document to the NT server, extracts it(its
zipped), copies it to a AS/400 shared folder and then calls an AS/400 stored
procedure, which does a CPYFRMPCD and submits an RPG job for processing the
data.
 





Is there a way to tell the AS400 a file as been received on a separate
server and is ready for processing?  I have a customer who will be sending
me data via FTP to an NT Server.  Once the file is on the server I would
like it to send something to the AS400 to tell it data has arrived so the
AS400 can retreive the data and begin running the jobs. Any ideas?
