Either in RPG or CL? -----Original Message----- From: owner-rpg400-l@midrange.com [mailto:owner-rpg400-l@midrange.com]On Behalf Of Alex A Moore Sent: Thursday, March 01, 2001 7:37 AM To: RPG400-L@midrange.com Subject: RE: Using Excel spreadsheet data on the AS/400 Frank, There are several ways, one of the neatest, in my opinion, is the new database file creation wizard within the file transfer feature of Client Access Express (latest version) and even simpler add-in for Excel in the current Beta version. Simply click on the upload button from within your Excel spreadsheet, fill in the requested information: Does your data have column headings in the first row? Name of trnasfer file if you want to save it. Library and Name of database file. etc. - then the file is created, and data is transfered. I used it just this morning to upload data from one of our customers, a large retailer, to verify their data (store addresses) against our database. Works like a charm. If you need more details - don't hesitate. If you have Client access express - experiment.
