Re: CREATE TABLE question (SQL)

In my opinion creating tables is more or less a
one time action, so what's wrong with creation
with interactive SQL?

If you need a temporary table many times
why not do a

    CRTDUPOBJ <fromObj> <fromLib> *FILE <toLib> <newObj> ?

this creates a duplicate of the object.

Another thing you should look at are cursors and views.

    CREATE x CURSOR AS <select statement>

    CREATE x VIEW AS <select statement>

which would give access to data temporarly (cursor) or
permanent (view) without duplicating the data.
