Thanks for your suggestions. Unfortunately, I had already tried them all before my original post, and I hadn't got any ofthem working. <Did you try the controller as *LOCAL> I tried it out, but I still need a device description. So I moved onto the next suggestion. <You need to use Create Device Desc (Intra) (CRTDEVINTR). Such device does not require controller.> When I do this, I get the following Evoke operation issued to program device DDMDEVICE failed. Cannot establish DDM connection with remote system. The return code is 0722, which the manual says 'A user ID was provided, but no password sent.' However, I can find no place to enter a password (or a user ID) <Or you can use RMTLOCNAME(xxx *IP) on CRTDDMF and point it back to your system via eg loopback.> I had already tried this using our specific IP address. I also tried the loopback address. With both, I get A remote host refused an attempted connect operation. DDM TCP/IP communications error occurred on connect() to Application File QCNDDMF was already closed, never opened or not from this process. I have just about wasted as much time on this as I can afford, so I will have to look at modifying programs, library lists, etc. However, with around 60 DDM files covering 200 programs, this is going to take a lot longer than the 5 hours I have left in my timetable. Anyway, I am going to put off doing this for a few more days, to see if anyone else can come up with any more sggestions. +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
