If I was to never use techniques and compiler facilities that I could not
remember exactly how to use I would not be able to program. E.G. which edit
code is it for comma's an CR sign I forgot so I will write my own editing
sub procedure.

Look it up in the manual, just because a technique is old it does not meen
it is useless.
