Mike,

I had this problem which sent me nuts!Like you( I think)I cleared the 
subfile before redisplaying, set sfldsp to off, and there it was, still with 
all the records displayed.

The solution was to use the ERASE keyword in the DDS. This can be 
conditioned by an indicator.However, I think this will erase the entire 
subfile. So you would not want to use it if there are still records to be 
displayed.
