I don't think so. Y'all must be those people that also say, "Guns don't
kill people. People kill people." The issue is the use of the GOTO
statement. Occasionally, I find a program with GOTOs used in a structured
manner and I agree that it is nice clean code. More often I find GOTOs used
by a programmer that did or does not understand structured programming and
uses them because he/she finds the structures too limiting. When the GOTO
is used correctly I see that with the same effort other codes like ITER or
SELECT could have just as easily been used.
I doubt that anyone on this mailing list is one of those people that is
abusing the GOTO. I can understand why "they" are upset about having to
change if it is taken out.
Thanks for changing the topic. I hated to belittle a discussion about RPG 5
to a GOTO debate.

Go Brad,
I've always wondered why the GOTO statement was so bad. Nobody has
ever proven it's problems, if there actually is any. It just always seems
to be just an opinion.

A Goto is like a cigarette lighter in a car. It got a bad rap because
smoking isn't PC anymore, and now cars are being made without them.
But, what the carmakers forgot is a cig. lighter is also used to power
accessories such as radar detectors, cell phones, etc.. etc... Woops.
kinda like the GOTO.
