Hi John, No, that would zap the last digit. An unsigned packed decimal data field would be something like x'1234' for decimal 1234. Using your code would change it to x'123D', losing the last digit. By appending x'0f' (giving x'12340f') and dividing by 10, you get x'01234f'. Clear as mud?
