I believe to make this work you need the SQL SDK licensed product (not sure of the exact name), which costs $$ (not huge, but not free). If that's not an option, perhaps this will work: 1) convert your standard query to a qmquery (you can do this without the SDK) 2) use the result to help you design an OPNQRYF statement that does the same thing 3) write a CLP or RPG program to construct this statement and run it (you can pass information into this program that will then be included in the statement) 4a) write a simple report program over the result. -OR- 4b) ?? run a query (RUNQRY) over the result (no need for passed parms) ?? 4b is obviously easier, but I'm not sure it would work -- it depends on if the query would run over the product of the OPNQRYF statement or whether it would go back to the original file.
