Jaco,

Try taking out the /COPY statements, cvt the source and reinsert the /COPY statements.  This might work

Cheers

Subject: Converting RPT programs . . .

Hi all!

We are in the process of converting all our RPG III and RPT programs to RPG IV
(ILE).

The problem lies in the fact that the system makes extensive use of copybooks,
but if you convert a RPT program, the copybook is automatically included in the
converted source.  This defies the whole idea of copybooks.

How have you guys adressed this problem? It will be next to impossible to
convert the programs, delete the included source, and change the converted
program to use a copybook again. (it will be like rewriting 80% of the system!)

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!

TIA
Jaco Jonker.
