I use x'09' to create tab-delimited files: Example -- eval outline= %trim(fname) + x'09' + %trim(mi) + x'09' + %trim(lname) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jose Vega" <jvega@platt.com> To: <RPG400-L@midrange.com> Sent: Friday, September 15, 2000 7:10 PM Subject: EBCDIC Value/RPG Hello, Can anyone tell me what the "TAB" AS400 EBCDIC VALUE TO EQUATE TO DECIMAL CHAR(9) ON THE ASCII TABLE is? I cannot find it anywhere! I am ATTEMPTING TO CREATE A TAB DELIMITED FILE. THANKS (Newbie) -----Original Message----- From: Peter Dow [mailto:pcdow@yahoo.com] Sent: Friday, September 15, 2000 10:11 AM To: RPG400-L@midrange.com Subject: Re: Activation Groups Hi Jon, Yeah, terminology for a new technology always has some glitches. Actually, I see no reason for the DFTACTGRP compile option at all. Just use ACTGRP(*OPM) or ACTGRP(*FAKEOPM), since if DFTACTGRP is *DEFAULT, you can't use the ACTGRP option. If you use DFTACTGRP(*NO) and ACTGRP(*CALLER), you are not limited to external program procedures. So by saying "compiled into the default activation group" I was trying to say that if you use DFTACTGRP(*YES) you will be limited. As I'm sure you know.
