Trust me, SEU takes that long to learn it well. When
was the last time you trained a newbie to the 400 on SEU?
We run them through the ATS course and then have them
watch us use it to help them through a problem. How may
of you know how to combine the XX block function to hide
records and then use F16 to unhide just the records modified
since a certain date? No responses please - I am just
trying to make a point. I just showed this to a long time
400 person, (his son is the newbie).

Isn't newbie a better term than FNG?

<snip>
I will only add that I am currently teaching a Code/400 class (2 days) to a
group of developers from an
IBM BP who luckily see the benefits of learning the product.
<snip>

There are two problems I see, firstly, the above comment. The fact that it
takes two days to learn (how long did it take you to learn SEU?)
Secondly, I have loaded several demo version of CODE over the past couple of
years. I simply can not get it to run reliably all of the time. Before you
know it an error occurs and the whole pc goes belly up. Now, I know this
isn't a problem with CODE itself, but the unreliable coms layer used when
connecting to the 400..

Well, that's by 0.02 euros worth.
