Hmm.  I suppose that depends on your point of view.  I happen to understand 
sockets fairly thoroughly, and I'd expect the job to take me no more than a day.

Now, I know nothing of net.data, and would probably have to spend several days 
reading and learning before I could write any code.

This will certainly work, but I'm afraid it will be far more complicated
than using Net.Data and a regular browser in the PC.
