I agree with you that a client/server scenario is a MUCH better solution than using the mostly-obsolete GDDM. But as a side note, I wanted to mention that we have software called "IDEAComm Midrange Client" that will do a 5292-2 under windows. (I believe it even does tn5250 over TCP/IP!
