Mark, To the best of my knowledge, the ONLY 5250 emulator that could run as a 5292-2 graphics terminal was the old DOS PC Support emulation. To make it work required an IBM 8514/a graphics adapter or a third-party card FULLY emulating an 8514/a, plus several LARGE device drivers that essentially made the PC unable to run any other non-trivial program at the same time. I had it working at one time, probably about 1992 or '93. If I were you, I'd forget GDDM with 5250 emulation and write a client/server app of some sort to do the job. I'm sure the smart folks on this list will hash through the pros and cons of the various ways to do that - my advice is that you listen to what they have to say, then pick the one that you want to learn the most. <grin> Dave Shaw Spartan International, Inc.
