In the calling program,,, Call the proceedures with a parm that says "I'm done close it all down" at LR. Basically we will send a parm like; 1 = one pass only close when done, M = Multiple calls to be performed, keep all open and LR off, E = End of multiple call, close all files and seton LR. Ah - there's the rub. How do I code it so that the file is opened on first invocation (that is what you have above) and closed when the calling program exits (*not* when the procedure exits).
