Sorry to be a bit off-topic here... I had a VB program that used Client Access API's to communicate with the AS/400 using data queues. It worked for a long time, and then I didn't use it for a while. Now that I am working with it again, I can't establish a connection with the data queues. After much searching, I have noticed that the host server as-dtaq is not running on the AS/400, and I can't seem to get it started with STRHOSTSVR *DTAQ. Anybody else ever run into this? I am running OS400 V4R3. I tried running the Verify Connection function built into Client Access, and that is where I discovered that CA can't find the as-dtaq host server. I then ran NETSTAT, and that is how I discovered the as-dtaq host server (on port 8472) isn't even running. Dave P.S.: I am cross-posting this to MIDRANGE-L. -- SoftServ.
