Is it possible to use remote journalling from the remote AS/400s to the central
AS/400 with a job (or jobs) to receive the journal entries and apply the changes
to the Data Warehouse ?

The obvious drawbacks are the requirement to journal the files on the remote
systems and the size of storage required on the central machine to hold all the
remote receiver data. The latter obviously depends on transaction volumes on the
remote systems.
