David, in RPG III, a return code of 0 maps to a
status of 00000 and a return code of 1 maps to a
status of 00001. A return code of 3 maps to the
status about halt indicators, and greater than 3
maps to the status about failed program calls (00202?).

In RPG IV, 0 and 1 work the same as for RPG III,
as do return codes 2 and 3 when accompanied by
an exception. But without an exception, all return
codes other than 1 map to a 00000 status.
