Wake up the program? That implies you also need to put it to sleep? or do you wish to just pause it for 2 minutes? (I'm thinking that a loop that SUBDURs the time the loop started from the present time until the difference equals 2 minutes would be as effective as any other choice, and easier to operate.) As a matter of curiosity, what is the need? Would a data queue work better for you? About the uptime... why not create a data area. Then, in the AS/400 startup program fill the data area with a date stamp? Write a short program that just SUBDURs that value from current values?
