Not that I know of. Triggers are just that, triggers. Each record updated
triggers an event.

Assuming I understand the question correctly, why can't you just include a
date field for date record was added to data base and run your query off the
date? That way, users could pick any day to query, even range of days.

Hey Guys, another question about trigger program.

The trigger program is executed everytime for every single record ( if i
had a trigger on Insert for instance ).

Is there any way i can just run the program once after all the inserts are
done to the file???.

In my case, i dumping the data from the Web to AS400 file. I want a report
that can produce all the new records added to the AS400 File at the end of
the day automatically.

Hope i did't confuse much.

Thanks.
Gade.

The easiest way to create a copy of the test file that it currently is
"built" over. add the trigger to the test file(addpftrg), start your
debug,
but do not call the pgm, use dfu, or dbu to add/change a record
interactively, and then your trigger will be running and breaking for you.
Granted, this worked really slick for me on an ILE trigger program, I have
not tried this method using older coding techniques. Don't forget to
remove
the trigger from your test file (rmvpftrg). Hope this helps
