After the CPYSPLF, pass the file through a program to remove or reformat the dates. Then do your CMPPFM. William K. The typical output spec in the new program is O .......... DATE1 50D*MDY is there a way to output a Date Type in *mdy & drop the leading zero? I know how to move to a 6 digit & use an edit code but there are hundreds of programs involved and many have 2 or 3 dates to be output.
