when you get to it (finally), may I suggest a phased in functionality
approach to get us this faster...  

In the first way, allow matrix inits and simple cell moves.  You should be
able to do this already with a minimum amount of pain...then goto the
fancy stuff...like allowing numeric and alpha arrays and alpha/numeric
array index's...  Yeah, a combo of the HP-3000 BASIC and PL/I methods of
arrays would be nice...:)
