Eric, >>The preferred method would be to call the QWCRTVCA API which is >>detailed in the work management apis book. I'll take a look! >>One clearly painful way of doing that would be to find the >>command processing program for the command, then figure out >>what the real order and type of the parameters (quite painful >>indeed). I'm in the middle of developing a WRKMBRPDM-like utility (in my spare time; yeah right!) for which I wanted to be able to access the PDM defaults screen. I determined that the program was QUOSRV, but when I tried to call it, I got a MCH6801 escape message "Object domain or hardware storage protection violation", which basically describes "an attempt to access a protected object from a program running with user state". "A protected object is one that is in the system domain or which has storage protection attributes that restrict its use." This probably encompasses all of IBM's internal objects. So, I don't think I'll try IBM's CPPs. - Dan Bale +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---END
