Michael, I don't know what you mean by cut and paste "between sessions". You select text with the mouse, or shift and arrow/pagedown/end/home keys. Once the text is selected, copy it by pressing control c/x or from the edit drop down window. Paste using control p or the edit drop down. I posted a Macro to speed up cut and paste on IBM's code macros page. It will assume you want to cut/copy the line containing the cursor if no text is selected. It will also paste at the line with the cursor without shifting lines. The Rexx documentation used to be non-existent, but now you can open a macro member (end in .lx or lxu) and go to the Help drop down. You should see the Rexx manual listed. Some of the editor specific functions are documented in the editor reference. I don't know why the help text is crashing for you. It hasn't ever crashed on me. Yes you can debug batch jobs. When you start debug, you need to select the batch job (which would be held or on a queue). It will send a message saying to hit OK once the program is running. David Morris >>> <michael.franchino@cussys.com> 06/21/99 03:41PM >>> Is there a way to cut and paste between sessions? What I normally do is cut the field names from a data structure than copy those down into the C specs.. I couldn't find how to do this. We tried our darndest to use this thing for about a month and found that we were going back to SEU more and more. We did find the TAB key very useful. We never used the DSU because we use Progen to create any screen programs that we use. We may look at it for PRTF files though (Currently use RLU). The other thing that I have a problem with is the lack of real documentation. It just came with a couple of CDs and a small manual. How are you to learn the macro language? The crashes were happening every time I opened the help text. Can you debug batch programs with the debugger?
