That program, and the others they suggest you produce, is only needed if you are coding in RPG III (RPG/400) or V3R1 of RPG IV. If you are coding in RPG IV (any release later than V3R1) then you can program to the sockets APIs directly. Inside V4... published a simple example a month or so back - I think the code is on their web page (access via The400Group.com I think). I've also got a number of different code samples but they haven't yet been "cleaned up" and commented properly. Let me know by private e-mail if you want to see them.
