We did the same thing by using the ECS line with one difference.  We only
have one custom SDLC line description (varied on at IPL) set up and all of
the SDLC controllers varied off under it.  We had the pager controller and
several controllers to contact various consulting companies.  The only time
we had to vary off our RACECS line was to order PTFs.
