FYI,

UltraVNC has a version called SC. It doesn't have to be installed on the remote PC.
You do have to configure it to include the server IP address. They also have there own
encryption where you create a key that is unique to your company. You don't have to
have there password at all. That way you have no pre-installed software on the remote
and you have encryption.

Enjoy,

Gary

Yes, VNC software has to be installed in order to use VNC.

But, VNC is available for just about everything, and it's free. (I've
run it under FreeBSD, Linux, Windows, IBM i, iPad and iPhone... I'm
willing to bet it's available for Mac, too.)

VNC. The sys admin (boss's son) installed it for me on my PC while I was
out one day so I don't know a lot about the details, just how to use it to
connect to one of our retail store's PC (which run Client Access to connect
to the System i sitting next to me). My understanding (which could be
wrong) is that something has to be set up on the PC to which I'm connecting,
which makes sense, anyway.
