You seem to have a very Windows-centric view of the world.
Guilty as charged! Because that is what my customers use on their desktops. We can dislike MS as much as we want...but the fact is that MS currently owns the business desktop. Call it a stranglehold if you want, but also call it "the world as it exists today". At some point in time, that will change. But it wont change because of anti-trust lawsuits or developers complaining. Someday, the marketplace will change and MS will "miss it". They came close with the Internet, but they recovered. So just like the PC brought down IBM, the next "big thing" will probably be what brings down MS. And I don't mean "bring down" as in destroy, but as in a little bit more of a humble place and not dominating the market like a 2,000 pound gorilla! Wouldn't it be cool if that something was what we all know today as an iSeries???? Now I'll return to searching for the next "big thing" and stop disturbing the harmony of PCTech! Bob
