So far, Stardust is a proof-of-concept virus, which means that it was
created to demonstrate that an OpenOffice virus is possible. The virus has
not been sent out in the wild and is not actually attacking people's
systems.

Does anybody read this the way I do? That basically the folks in the lab
created this virus and are now warning us about it? What's even scarier is
the strange wording "has not been sent out in the wild". I hope it was
supposed to read "has not been SEEN out in the wild," becausw otherwise it
certainly raises an interesting question.

I've long said that antivirus companies have a vested interest in seeing
viruses proliferate. The above sentence may just be a rather pointed
Freudian slip, but still......
