Talk about sticker shock! We're looking at a solution that involves buying a fair quantity of Panasonic Toughbook 18's. These are ruggedized tablet PCs that meet military specs. The prices *seem* appropriate for their design and 3-year warranty. But, man-oh-man, the accessories! $240 for the extra battery $175 for the battery charger $110 for the car charger These appear to be competitive prices based on a quick price search on the web. As I have not been in the laptop market personally, I'm not familiar with what's out there as far as pricing is concerned. But, what the ...... <chin getting skinned from dragging on the floor> db
