Who says they have not??? As far as I know msblast looks for a certain open port and gets in thru that way. Email is not involved. Not sure how sobig spreads. I use Yahoo.com and my pc is behind a linksys router and I have never had a problem with viruses. I don't even have virus software. You have to realize that most of the viruses attack Outlook. So if you are using a web based email account, you are shielded from most viruses. As for attachment viruses, Yahoo, scans the attachment when it is downloaded. I would have to guess that MSN and hotmail offer the same service. -- Scott > -----Original Message----- > From: pctech-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx > [mailto:pctech-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx]On > Behalf Of Booth Martin > Sent: Thursday, August 28, 2003 8:22 AM > To: pctech@xxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: RE: [PcTech] Recovering XP Pro after Thinkpad hard disk > > > I am curious why the msn.com and hotmail customers have had > zero problems > with msblast or sobig?
