I recall a story that was told to me by the owner of a large homebuilder
(4,000 homes per year) about a bigger homebuilder that put in SAP. Three
years and $35 million into the project, they were still not running
"live".

Michael,

I don't have anything direct but do have a niece, nephew and his wife
that work in IT for Pioneer Hi-Bred International (www.pioneer.com).
They tell me that SAP is successfully used along with a lot of other
major packages.

You also might check the archives here. I recall a lot of discussions
about companies spending _years_ and _millions_ to get SAP up without
actually making it there.

Good Luck.
