Who is spamcop? Are they really trustworthy or are they vigilantes? On a mail server I manage I received a message from them indicating I was sending spam. I know this to be false - it is neither an open relay nor on a network fast enough to send any. Further I have reviewed the logs and can verify no spam has been sent.
James: Spamcop offers a lot of different options for reporting spam ... some are not perfectly understood by everyone who uses them, I suspect. It could very well be that a spammer put a random email host in it's false headers to deflect attention away from the true source of the email ... and you happen to be that false header. This happened to me a while ago. david
