Jeff, Perhaps you have a mix. Older machines have both NetBeui and TCP/IP. Newer ones have TCP/IP only. Also, it takes time for a new machine to "see" all the others. This is the part of MS Networking that is mysterious to me. The good news however is that when you add the machine into a Domain, then it pretty much sees everybody right away. Or so my experience leads me to believe. But it still doesn't answer all questions: 1) After installing NetBeui, that PC could only see 1 other PC, a WinME with Netbeui installed. No other PC on the network could be seen. But the other W98 PC _could_ see every PC in the network (except the one with the original problem) even though this W98 PC did _not_ have NetBeui installed. Huh? 2) My W2K PC can see every PC with NetBeui installed even though it _doesn't_ have NetBeui installed. 3) My guess is that once I have NetBeui installed on all PCs, everything will be seen. 4) In the entire Windows Network Troubleshooter it never said anything about NetBeui. -- -Jeff New email address: jlcrosby@dilgardfoods.com The opinions expressed are my own and not necessarily the opinion of my company.
