Sorry, not true. Some SMTP servers are configured to accept the invalid address and reject it. This way, when the stupid sales puke sends something to an invalid address, it will not clog his outbox. Create a new contact/address in your address book named "!0000", but without adding an e mail address. This fictitious contact will be at the top of your address list. For any viruses that attempt to be spread via your address book to all in the address book, the computer will give the message: "this message cannot be sent because one or more persons have an invalid e mail address. Check your......" Click on o.k. and the virus is not forwarded to anyone, nor is your address book affected. The virus itself will be saved in your outbox (or drafts for hotmail), so you need to go there and delete it. Also empty the recycle bin. Problem solved and no one in your address book has been infected. Make sure that you yourself get rid of the virus, of course. If anyone can find a flaw in the logic, or a reason not to do this, I should like to hear it (I am not a techie, so keep it simple).
