Good point. Nor do I. IPL is what happens when I push the power button on my 150 and wait 10 Minutes until the CPU LED just occasionally flickers. Extrapolation to more modern hardware and LPARs likewise. This includes a pwrdwnsys *immed restart(*yes)

There's a lot done before, and after, that. Autostart job entries in subsystems are just one example. So basically I would assume that the stuff in a ...smtp... directory would get recreated when smtp starts up.
