I completely agree. Allow me to clarify that my comment pertains to those other directories flagged ALWSAV(*NO) per comment from Rob Behrend. I implicitly excluded /tmp of that state in my answer to Dan's question about context regarding /tmp, but that answer happened before Rob's comment.
I hereby now make clear:
From a restore PoV, I'd expect to have the system on DASD in the exact state as it was at save time, excluding files in the system temporary directory /tmp. :-)
