Beppe's utility works really well.

Customizing the formatting is not all that granular. You can create a 
template spreadsheet, and his utility will populate it with the output 
from the SELECT statement, but it's not quite as flexible as Scott 
Klement's HSSF.  But like Scott's, it is open source, so you can modify it.
