Adam,

We are IBM Business Partners and during last years we have been moving IBM i (AIX and Linux) workloads to IBM Power Virtual Server (IBM Cloud) and Skytap on Azure (Kyndryl).

Moving to the cloud, as I know you have heard, is a journey. Most customers start moving small non-prod environments, and once they get some experience they start "shifting" to the cloud.

All alternatives have their pros and cons. My suggestion: test all of them and get to your own conclusions.

BTW: "IBM Power Systems Virtual Server Guide for IBM i" Redbook, 2nd edition, is next to be released. I suggest to take a look on what IBM Cloud has to offer ;-)

PS: You can contact me in private, if you need some information.

Good luck!
