BR1 is end of marketing and was the perpetual license version. Also will reach end of support next year. No GUI will be provided.

BR2 is the new subscription model. Is supported. Will have Web GUI.

Media and Storage Extensions (M&SE) is now free. This IBM i component is required for BRMS.

I think 5770-BR1 is free of charge but 5770-BR2 is on subscription only.
