These days, if you're cleaning up QDLS because of space, you're doing
things wrong. One really shouldn't be using QDLS (aka WRKFLR stuff)
because of a number of reasons. It should be in other areas of the IFS.

The reason I suggested a google search was in case a particular folder name
pointed to some obsolete product, either by IBM or others, and perhaps you
should delete that product. For example, the old as400books or Book
Manager or whatever that was called.

Thanks Jim, Rob

I guess I will adhere to Jim's advice and just clear those folders,
so nothing breaks.

It's not a matter of space, just trying to keep things in order.
(and to some extent a curiosity trait)

Thanks again
Gad

All I see on a start from scratch 7.5 lpar are:
QDIADOCS
QFOSDIA
QGA400RT
QIWSADM
QOTTMFLR

I suppose one could google some of those other names and see if there is
any advice.

The only folders on our V7R3 system (QDLS is untouched on this system)
are:
QDIADOCS
QPOSDIA
QGA400RT
QIWSADM

Except for these IBM supplied folders I would expect you can remove
them.
A second check would be to look at the last modified date (Easy with
ACS
IFS dialog) and see if they are being used at all. I would have a
brief
look at the contents as well.
